County of Huelva Designation of Origin

Bodegas Sauci belongs to the County of Huelva Designation of Origin. This entails the recognition of the quality of its wines by our Control Board which guarantees the production and aging of our wines according to the specific regulation as well as the oenological and organoleptic standards that must characterize them.

The County of Huelva enjoys ideal weather conditions for grapevine farms. It has mild winter and spring with long and warm summers of clear Atlantic influence, an annual average temperature of 64,40ºF (18º C) in the region and relative humidity between 60% and 80%. The climate is typical from the Gulf of Cadiz in Andalusia, strongly influenced by the Ocean. The weather conditions of this region – exceptional for agriculture – with warm summers, mild winter and an intense light during most of the day provides the villages of the County with a good production throughout 6.000 hectares.
