Andalusia
Located in a strategic and privileged place, Andalusia has always been
an attractive for its neighbouring peoples – this the reason of its rich
heritage and culture. Many peoples have pass through it such as
Phoenicians, Iberians, Celts, Greeks, Romans, Carthaginians, Jewish,
Vandals, Visigoths, Byzantines, Arabs… Andalusia is indeed a melting pot
of civilizations.
Along its more than 8 700 000 ha, Andalusia shows a great variety of
landscapes due to its situation between two seas (the Atlantic Ocean and
the Mediterranean Sea) and also to its proximity to Africa. Thus, it is
possible to find beaches, countryside, snow, natural parks and reserves…
This variety of landscapes is one of the most characteristic features of
our land together with its weather, its famous Pueblos Blancos (White
Villages), olive oil, ham, flamenco singing and dancing and of course,
its people.
It is indeed said that this land usually conquers their conquerors.
